Beinn a'Bhuird

Extensive snow cover on some aspects above 800m View west from 900m, E and then a snow shower came in


Glas Maol

These photos were taken on Glas Maol today. There is still good snow cover especially on Easterly aspects. If you look beyond, large accumulations of snow can be seen in the high corries. Wind exposed areas such as the top of Glas Maol are bare of snow and frozen hard!


A moist day!

Snow has depleted however there is still good cover in the corries and high summits.

Lochnagar Friday

Shortly after midday the Corrie of Lochnagar from the col by Meikle Pap. Quite a bit more snow on the apron directly below the crag than there has been recently. Looking onto Eagle Ridge (centre) with Parallel A and B to the right. Not much evidence of ice buiding up. The temperature at the profie site at 900 metres today was plus 2 and cooling is forecast.
