Missing Sailor Feared Eaten By Cannibals

A 40-year old German sailor, named Stefan Ramin, has gone missing in French Polynesia, and is believed to have been eaten by cannibals . Ramin and his girlfriendHeike Dorsch, have been sailing around the world over the past three years, and stopped on the island of Nuku Hiva, where they planned to spends some time off the ocean. Cyclist Sets Out To Ride For Haiti

While we're on the subject of long distance endurance events done for a cause today, I want to mention one more adventurer who is in the midst of his own active endeavor. Help Haiti at The Depot in Leeds

The Depot bouldering centre in Leeds is donating all money from wall entries on Thursday 21st January 2010 (this Thursday) to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
