Antarctica 2011: Blind Man Heading To The South Pole

The 2011 Antarctica season is still a couple of months off, but it is closing in quickly. One of the expeditions that has already been announced is the Polar Vision excursion which will see five team members, including visually impaired Alan Lock, heading to the South Pole on foot. In December, Alan, along with teammates Sean Swarner, Richard Smith, Garrick Hileman, and Andrew Sensen, will head to the Ronne-Filchner Ice Shelf in Antarctica and begin their 600-mile long journey to the South Pole.
