Some avalanche debris was noted just below Jacobs ladder on the right of this photo and below mess of potage below the crag apron. The snowpack very cold and weak on many aspects. Tap test revealed a weak faceted layer just above the old hard snow ice layer on a NW aspect at 1050m.

Looking onto Mess of Potage in Coire an t Sneachda. A day of very poor visibility and deep snow - difficult trail breaking - it took a party 3hrs to get to the base of the crag in Coire an T Sneachda from the car park ! The snowpack feels very spooky especially with the weak layers 40 cm down on the old surface hoar layer on what seems like all aspects.

Fiacaill Buttress seen inbetween strong gusts which carried large amounts of spindrift from the plateau. Many people were climbing on Mess of Potage today. The short video clip shows large amounts of spindrift loading the top of the Goat Track in Sneachda. It looked like The Niagra Falls
