French Succesfully Traverse Cordillera Darwin

This fall a French military team spent a month navigating the Cordillera Darwin in Chilean Tierra del Fuego. Lionel Albrieux, Sebastien Bohin, Didier Jourdain, Sebastien Ratel and Francois Savary, from the Groupe Militaire de Haute Montagne (GMHM) and civilian Dimitri Munoz spent thirty days traversing the length of this remote range. Mountaineering Courses Update - Hoeschen & Wagner

Image from Google The 6 Day Mountaineering Course with instructors Josh Hosechen and Matt Montsvon has returned to Talkeetna from the Matanuska Glacier. They were unable to fly into the Alaska Range at the start of their course so they chose to drive to the Matanuska Glacier in the Chugach Mountains for glacier camping, course work, crampon travel and technical skills. They returned this afternoon ready to hit the showers! They all had a great time and learned alot with Josh and Matt, 2 super leaders and teachers.We look


Wagner 6/20 Headed Up!

Image from Google Forest Wagner 6/20 called in last night and said, " the full crew is at 17K and if things look good we're headed up." He would try and call from higher on the mountain today. Check in from 14,200' West Buttress

Image from Google I just spoke with AMS Guide Dustin English at the 14,200 camp. He reports that both his team, Vernovage 6/22 and Wagner 6/20 are taking a weather day at 14,200' today. The weather is not extreme, but not good enough to move up today. Both teams are ready to move up when the weather allows, hopefully in the next day or two. All are doing well in both teams. Denali Update

Image from Google AMS guide Dustin English sent us a text from 14,200' camp late last night. Yesterday, July 2, they had a good rest day at 14,200'. On July 1st they carried and cached some of their food, fuel and equipment at 16,500' and that went well for them.Both the Wagner 6/20 and AMS/ IMGVernovage 6/22 teams hope to move up to the 17,200' high camp today. We wish them the best! The teams lead by Peter Anderson, Mike Hamill and Aaron Mainer have safely arrived to Kahiltna Base Camp and are waiting for the weather to
