As exciting as Rjukan looks, when I picture myself there I know there’s something missing. Getting out of bed for a quick drive down the hill and a short walk to the foot of the ice seems just a bit too convenient for me. If I’m honest, I think Rjukan’s greatest asset (it’s accessibility) is also the biggest thing holding it back. I seriously can’t wait to go there, but it’s certainly not the greatest ice venue on Earth. Ice climbing (like rock climbing) is only a means to an end - it all boils
