Peter Minks otherwise known as Minks, died of cancer on the 7th. He was one of the reasons I fell in love with the North Wales crew and had such a ball in the late 70’s. As a climber he had nimble feet and was Whillans like in his physique, he did the second solo of the Walker back in the day and was very proficient at all parts of the game. The game of course wasn’t just climbing it was about fun and carousing. I can think of alotta his mates dropping a tear into a pint or ten. He and I did a very ...

We hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and didn't overindulge too much on sugar plums. We have lots of snow and some cold temperatures here in Talkeetna. Here is a video from a 1997 Cancer Survivors climb guided by AMS owners, Colby Coombs and Caitlin Palmer. The climb raised money to support a children's camp for kids with cancer. Half of the team were themselves cancer survivors and were climbing with family members and friends. Everybody made it to the summit. ...

While I was away playing in the Caribbean over the past few days, the youth ambassadors from impossible2Possible were finishing up their seven day run across India. The expedition, which was a big success, came to an end today when the four runners completed their 270km (167 mile) journey across Rajasthan and the arid Thar Desert. As is always the case with any i2P project, the goal is to use adventure to help inspire and educate students in classrooms all over the world, and the India Youth Expedition was

He was an Honorary Member of The American Alpine Club and a 2009 winner of the Piolet D’or Lifetime Achievement Award (the first to receive that honor). In 2004 Bonatti received
