from The Adventure Blog
Yesterday I posted another story in the ongoing saga of the internal disputes that are taking place inside the Explorers Club , the 108 year old institution that has been at the forefront of exploration and adventure since its founding. In the story I quoted a New York Post article which stated that EC member Josh Bernstein , who also happens to be on the Club's Board of Directors, was "censured and fined" because he accepted tickets to the Club's annual Patron's Dinner from the event's sponsor, Rolex .

After the World Cup in Boulder, I was fortunate enough to be able to climb outside in RMNP. Due to the flights being a lot more expensive to leave the Monday just after the comp, I decided to leave on the Wednesday and if I was lucky, Id be able to climb outside around Boulder. [...]

It could be apathy, could be laziness, it could be burnout. Whatever, as people used to say before whatever became, well, whatever. Then the World Cup rolled into town last week and I began thinking

Here at the Ice Factor we're all starting to get psyched for the winter season again - it certainly doesn't feel like summer up here any more, with a bite in the air already and the hills starting to take on the purples and browns of Autumn. With that in mind, here's something you can enjoy with us to get you stoked too... STS Dry Tooling Competition We'll be hosting the first round of this annual competition this year. It isn't just an elite competition (although the 'great and the good' do often join ...

Posted By Steve Mc Clure the 2011-08-16 Borre handed me another beer. The main dude behind the Norwegian Rockmaster. The second event, in 2010, had been a good one. There have been a lot of emails and phone calls as we put together a plan; rules, wall design, timings. But I can take no credit for this, the endless enthusiasm and

Buy this book: A great new resource for local sport climbing, thanks to Derek for his work. Yesterday I got out with my least-repressed friend, Mr. Tim Emmett, along with Mr. Slawinski and Mr. K.H., who does not want his name on the internet. We visited The Notch, another really good craig in Echo Canyon (and covered in Derek's Bow Valley Sport). The Notch looks across the wide canyon to the Lookout, where I've spent at least 10 days this spring. Both craigs are over an over an hour of walking from the ...
