Expedition Impossible Episode 2 Is Tonight

Image from Google The second episode of ABC's summer reality show Expedition Impossible is set to air tonight, and I know that some of you, like me, enjoyed the first episode and are looking forward to the race continuing. With that in mind, I have a few links to share this morning that fans of the show might really enjoy. First, we have a great post from Eric Weihenmayer on his BlindVision Blog in which he gives a peek behind the curtain and shares some details of what really went on during the race. If you're watching the

Thoughts on Expedition Impossible

Image from Google I didn't really have the opportunity to share my thoughts following last weeks premiere of the new ABC reality television show Expedition Impossible . Prior to its debut, I had been writing about the program with some regularity, and even posted videos from the start. Before seeing the show, I noted that it appeared to be a mix of adventure racing and the show The Amazing Race . That description holds up to a certain extent, although Expedition Impossible charts its own course as well, sometimes for the

Episode 1 of the Adventurists Jibber Brings The Funny

Clearly the fine folks over at The Adventurists have too much time on their hands. When they're not busy organizing the next Mongol Rally or Rickshaw Run , they're making hilarious videos such as the one below. This is the first episode of the Adventurists' Jibber program in which Horatio Blackensmythe, the world's greatest adventurer, shares his thoughts and wisdom on all things adventure related. Horatio is a bit cracked though, so don't take anything he says too seriously.

AMS Lends Film Crew Support to Sarah Palin's Alaska

The snow covered 'bump' mid-ground is Michio Point in early season. Michio Point is the northern most point of Mount Barrill (7,650ft) located in the Ruth Glacier. It is named for Michio Hoshino, a well known nature and wildlife photographer. Hoshino was killed by a grizzly bear in Russia in 1996. He regularly visited the Alaska Range with youth groups from Japan. This point is locally named in his remembrance . Todd Palin, Willow Palin, guide Brian McCullough, Sarah Palin and AMS owner Colby Coombs on the

Ski the Himalayas - Season 2, Episode 1

Image from Google We followed along with Ben Clark and Jon Miller when they headed to the 23,390-foot tall Baruntse last year and had their Ski the Himalayas climb chronicled on the Rest of Everest video podcast . It seems the duo returned to the mountain this past spring, and have launched their own video series to share their adventures. In the first episode, which you'll find below, we follow Ben and Jon from their home in Colorado to Nepal, where they hit the streets in Kathmandu for a little shopping before heading out

The Rest of Everest Episode 132 and 133: Catching Up WIth The Trek

The Rest of Everest video podcast continues to give us an inside look at the trek to Everest Base Camp, with two more great episodes for fans of the show, and potential trekkers. One of these episodes was released late last week, and the other earlier today, so I'm just now getting the chance to watch the two videos. The Season launched today!

The Season, a much-anticipated web TV show produced by Fitz Cahall (aka, the soul behind Dirtbag Diaries, ) and filmmaker Bryan Smith launched today on arcteryx.com . I've been waiting with baited breath for The Season to kick off since I first saw the trailer . The first episode exceeded my expectations. I watched it stop and go the first time through, since I was chatting on Twitter with other viewers ... then sat back, closed the door, cranked the volume and watched it a second time through ...
