Winter Climb Update: Waiting For A Weather Window On Denali

Image from Google There continues to be a lot of activity on the major winter climbs that are now taking place in Alaska and Pakistan. As is typical this time of year, the climbers are hoping to take advantage of any break in the weather that they get, but they also know that they have to continue their work, despite the conditions. On Denali, it seems that Lonnie Dupre is now waiting for a weather window to make an attempt at the summit. He has now climbed as high as 5242 meters (17,200 ft) as part of his acclimatization


Ice Factor -Sell out Success

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Chamonix World Cup

Image from Google The first round of the 2011 Lead World Cup was held in Chamonix, France on the 12th and 13th of July. Jakob Schubert of Austria won the men's competition. Four climbers were in joint first place in the women's: Caroline Ciavaldini of France, Angela Eiter of Austria, Jain Kim of Korea and Mina Markovic of Slovenia. They all topped out on the final route.


Milan Bouldering World Cup 2011 - Results and Video

The first round of the 2011 IFSC Bouldering World Cup took place on the 15-17 April in Milan, Spain. The men's event was won by Kilian Fischhuber from Austria and the women's event was won by Kim Jain from Korea.

British Team in the IFSC Bouldering World Cup 2011
