You get to actually play with gravity and playfully ski down mountains, I don’t think I’ll ever really be bored of that, it’s way too much fun.

One of my fellow contributors at Gadling posted the video below this morning. It shows some of the most tranquil and relaxing images of skydivers floating high above the Earth that you could ever hope to see. It was filmed by a team at the Melbourne Skydive Center in Australia, and it almost makes you believe that they are defying gravity rather than hurdling towards the planet at terminal velocity. It is a beautiful video and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Experience Human Flight from Betty Wants

Although theres rain in this weekends forecast, dont pull the covers over your head. Here are three great ways to spend a stormy dayweather not permitting! Dipsea-Doo-Dah Some hiking trails just seem to get better (and more interesting) with rain. Mount Tams 3.9-mile round-trip Dipsea Trail Loop is at its best when weathering the wets and wilds. Starting at Mount Tams Pantoll Ranger Station, immediately descend into Steep Ravine where a redwood forest offers shelter from precipitation. The trail parallels

I caught this video last week over at the Adventure Journal , but forgot to post it at the time. It's a fantastic look at Steph Davis doing what she loves, namely BASE jumping and floating through the air in a wingsuit. What makes this video even better though is that Steph placed a couple of GoPro cameras in some very unique places, catching interesting perspectives of the scenery around her, but also the expressions on her face as gravity takes over. While she has far too much experience at this kind of

Shannon Forsman and I were getting in a short late afternoon session at Flagstaff Mountain. The air was calm and still a bit warm, though the rock was beginning to feel crisp where it had cooled facing away from the sun. I felt like I was moving fairly well, nothing out of the ordinary, just OK. It's times like this that I sit back somewhat mentally as I climb and think about the simple beauty of light on stone, the straightforward presences of the rocks swelling up out the earth, and visually drift, like

Ahh... gravity. She's a harsh mistress in many of the active sports that we all enjoy. Take for example mountain biking and the Red Bull Rampage which is set to go down tomorrow. It's a free riding competition that takes place near Zion National Park, outside of Virgin, Utah, on some of the really great trails in that area. Many of those trails are not for the faint of heart however, as the video below shows. It's a collection of some of the more spectacular crashes from past events that will leave you ...
