A comfy pair of shoes is one of the great joys in life. When you find a pair you really like, you tend to hang on to them – sometimes for far too long. That will likely be the case if you ever put a pair of Surf Slipper Chuckas , from Cushe , on your feet. The soft, comfortable shoes may not be designed for hiking or other hardcore outdoor pursuits, but you'll love them for travel or casual outings around town. Made of soft sandal suede, these slip-on shoes feature an integrated microfiber sock that ...

Keen has built a reputation for creating comfortable and versatile shoes for hiking, paddling, cycling, and more. But their most comfortable shoes of all are reserved for the end of the day, when you're finished playing on the trail, and you're ready to kick back, take it easy, and lounge around a bit. When that moment comes, you'll want to slip your feet into a pair of Howser Wool slippers . Billed as a "sleeping bag for your feet," the Howser Wools are lined with super-soft microfleece that is both ...

Take for example the new Jamison boots from Bogs . If you'relooking for a great new pair of hiking boots to use in the backcountry or when high on the slopes of a mountain, than this isn't your

Way back in August, I told you about the Walking Home From Mongolia expedition , which would put adventurers Rob Lilwall and Leon McCarron on a 5000km (3106 mile) journey from Mongolia to Hong Kong, in the dead of winter no less. The plan was to travel both on foot and by kayak, and the entire trip was expected to take roughly six months. The boys hit the trail exactly one month ago today, and have been making excellent progress since. Their journey began in the village of Sainshand back on November 14th,

My recent trip to the Caribbean was filled with lots of fun activities, including hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing. It wasn't all just about fun in the sun however, as the trip was hosted by Microsoft, who assembled a group of travel writers to give us the scoop on some fantastic tools and laptops that could be of benefit for travelers of all types. Some of those tools included cloud storage service Skydrive , which is a great way to share video and photos from your trip, and Movie Maker and

Earlier this week I posted the news that ALE's aircraft had finally started shuttling Antarctic explorers onto the ice, and after spending weeks in Punta Arenas, the teams seemed eager to get underway. Now, a few days later, most have left the Union Glacier Camp behind, and are now making their way South along a variety of routes. Amongst the teams that have finally gotten underway are the Aussie duo of James Castrission and Justin Jones . The two men caught a lift out to Hercules Inlet, the location of

Over the weekend, Alan Arnette finished the next climb in his Seven Summits for Alzheimer's project by reaching the top of Carstensz Pyramid , the tallest mountain in Oceania. The 4884 meter (16,024 ft) mountain is perhaps the most technically challenging of all the Seven Summits, requiring solid rock climbing skills to reach the top. With that in mind, Alan and his team, managed to summit in just four hours. You can read a complete summit report on Alan's blog , where you'll find interesting insights into

Posted By Liv Sansoz the 2011-10-19 I haven't written since a very long time on my blog. Not that nothing happened in my life. But nothing super exciting. Hum... I should not say that. All depends on what someone put behind the word "exciting". Climbing hard routes ? Then for sure I did nothing "exciting" since I was injured. Doing what I love ? Then I did a lot of "exciting" things... even injured ;) I realized the fact I was injured and I can not climb the way I would like to was not a reason for not ...
