A comfy pair of shoes is one of the great joys in life. When you find a pair you really like, you tend to hang on to them – sometimes for far too long. That will likely be the case if you ever put a pair of Surf Slipper Chuckas , from Cushe , on your feet. The soft, comfortable shoes may not be designed for hiking or other hardcore outdoor pursuits, but you'll love them for travel or casual outings around town. Made of soft sandal suede, these slip-on shoes feature an integrated microfiber sock that ...

Keen has built a reputation for creating comfortable and versatile shoes for hiking, paddling, cycling, and more. But their most comfortable shoes of all are reserved for the end of the day, when you're finished playing on the trail, and you're ready to kick back, take it easy, and lounge around a bit. When that moment comes, you'll want to slip your feet into a pair of Howser Wool slippers . Billed as a "sleeping bag for your feet," the Howser Wools are lined with super-soft microfleece that is both ...

Add caption There was a bit too much trash in my bachelor flat, and it was starting to smell a bit, so I very sensibly thought I’d take the trash out. Well a few days later when I finally did take the trash out it was raining, so I got the turn-ups of my trousers wet, as I wore slippers instead of shoes, and my bare bake got an unexpected wash, which admittedly was a plus. Anyway, thinking about what a tosser I was, I then for no accountable reason threw my keys with the trash into the recycling bin. ...

Posted By Liv Sansoz the 2011-03-04 I already miss this picturesque area. Taghia (Morocco), is a terrific place. Imagine a small village of 400 inhabitants at 1900m altitude surrounded by impressive but attractive faces. Taghia is like a sacred place where respect and humility are important. In Taghia, we four Frenchies were alone with the giants rock faces and teh locals. There were no other strangers. As far as I can remember, it was the first time I went to a climbing place and saw no other climbers.

After some speculation whether anyone would show up, I had at least 10 people at the Boulder Rock Club last Thursday night for a clinic that went close to two hours. I started off explaining my philosophy of climbing better, namely paying better attention to what you are doing and understanding why. To me this is the essence of maximizing your potential as a climber and yet is so hard to do well. Then we had a little bit of falling practice. Much like in sport climbing, safe effective falling technique is

Keen has long been known as a manufacturer of quality outdoor footwear ranging from comfortable hiking boots to versatile water shoes to their popular, and ubiquitous, sandals. But they also happen to make a number of other offerings that are better designed for hitting the town rather than the trail, including a super comfortable new shoe that is best described as a slipper with the sole for the street. The new Howser is billed as a "sleeping bag for your feet" and that seems like a rather apt ...

My sponsors Scarpa have several major new rockshoe models coming through this year. First up of these is the instinct slipper . Trying them on at the trade show in Germany, I thought Wow! They are super comfortable. In fact, excellent comfort is one of the biggest things I have to say about the slippers. The fit seems well designed with no nasty pressure points and my toes feel exceptionally comfortable yet still held firmly enough for good performance. Like the Stix before them please don’t be put off

Tuesday morning feels like eons ago -- it's been a long two days of hiking around the Salt Palace here in Salt Lake City, full of meetings, events, hugs in the hallways, and spending time with friends. Here are the very, very best of what I've seen in the first two days. I have a long list of "honorable mentions," which I'll write about down the road. This is just the cream of the crop. Most of these products are previews -- products in development for release in Spring 2010. When a product is available
